Suffice to say I have an adventurous spirit! I have been traveling since I was a teenager, and it’s one of my biggest passions in life. I am an avid NFL football fan and a killer Chef in the kitchen. I have my PAL (Canadian restricted firearms license), my PADI (Open Water Scuba Diver), my Class B Motorbike Licence and, my TEFL Certificate (Teaching English as a Second Language).
I am also a believer in contributing to this world and have a long history of volunteerism, fundraising, and front-line help.
I watched rocks and ash pour all over our house in Antigua when the volcano Fuego blew, killing 1000’s of people. Sadly the government misrepresented and misreported the facts to the world, and this devastating experience forever changed me. I’m grateful I was there though, I was able to bring in over $10,000 in aid directly to the people who needed it the most; Food, water, clothing, medical supplies, and cash donations to fund the brave Firemen trying to rescue and assist survivors.

Hi, I’m Tanya, a 50 year old Canadian.

Now as a legal Mexican Resident, wife, home owner and dog mom, things have slowed down a little on the adventure front!
But travel continues to be at the forefront of my plans.
I am also a believer in contributing to this world and have a long history of volunteerism, fundraising, and front-line help.
I watched rocks and ash pour all over our house in Antigua when the volcano Fuego blew, killing 100’s of people, only 6 miles from our home. I’m grateful I was there though, I was able to personally raise over $10,000 in aid and personally bring that directly to the people who needed it the most for food, fresh water, clothing, medical supplies, and donations to fund the brave Volunteer Firemen trying to rescue and assist survivors of this tragedy.
From 2020 and into and 2023 we have chosen to focus our donation efforts on supporting this extremely worthy cause. We know Tessa, who founded this in Guatemala and works tirelessly along with her staff. Heros do exist!
